Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa ketika menuangkan ide dan gagasan dalam memproduksi teks cerpen dengan menentukan struktur dan kebahasaan teks cerpen. Lebih banyak siswa yang belum mengerti dibandingkan siswa yang sudah paham mengenai cara menulis teks cerpen. Maka penulis mengujicobakan metode estafet writing sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Metode estafet writing merupakan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa belajar aktif secara bersama-sama, berkelompok maupun individu untuk menghasilkan sebuah teks cerpen. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui 1) apakah metode estafet writing dapat menumbuhkan kemahiran menulis teks cerpen 2) apakah terdapat perbedaan sebelum atau setelah menggunakan metode estafet writing. Tujuan peneliti untuk keterampilan menulis ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen tipe one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Rata-rata test pretest siswa sebesar 63,08 dan rata-rata hasil posttest sebesar 79,96. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut terlihat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan. Kesimpulannya pengunaan metode estafet writing efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

AbstractLiterary work is an expression of the feeling of a person's life that is portrayed in beautiful writing. Poetry is a literary work in the form of writing which is the result of a person's thoughts which are expressed in a dense diction and influenced by the imagination of the author. A poem must have a message or advice and an inner structure implied in it. In this study, researchers will find out about the inner structure contained in a poem. The poem chosen in this research is“Kerendahan Hati” by Taufik Ismail. The researcher considers that the poem implies a meaningful value of life. Therefore, the research aims to find out the inner structure contained in the poem “Kerendahan Hati” by Taufik Ismail. The method chosen by the researcher was descriptive because it was able to describe the phenomema factually and in detail. The results of the analysis carried out show that the poem of "Kerendahan Hati" has a humble theme. This poem also has a feeling and a solemn tone, felt in every line containing the parable of life. Keywords: Analysis, inner structure, poetry.

Abstract

The background of this research is due to the lack of interest and motivation of students in writing, especially writing poetry texts. Students have difficulty in developing ideas and ideas into written form. In addition, the approach or method used by the teacher is less attractive and effective. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the effectiveness in implementing learning to write poetry texts using the CTL approach assisted by visual media; 2) To determine the response of teachers and students to learning to write poetry texts; 3) To find out the difficulties experienced by students in completing the task of writing poetry texts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a research sample of class X students of SMK Taruna Harapan 1 Cipatat. Learning to write poetry texts using the CTL approach assisted by visual media, went well. The scenario and implementation are appropriate. Teacher and student response to learning is very good. The lowest difficulty knowledge result is 10 ≤ 100 about expressions. Meanwhile, the lowest average skill score is 62 ≤ 100 about language content. Of the 36, there were 29 students who scored above the KKM standard ≥ 75 with a percentage of learning outcomes of 94% in the category of "very high" and declared complete in mastering the material.

Abstract

The use of figure of speech in poetry is very important, because poetry is a work that contains beauty. Language style in poetry makes language in poetry different from literature in general. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing what comparative figures are contained in one of Juniarso Ridwan's poems entitled "Rock Climbing". This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods and then examined using a stylistic study. Where the process of studying this poetry uses text analysis techniques by: reading poetry, understanding every meaning in the poem, finding and interpreting words that contain figure of speech, connecting with types of figure of speech and describing it. From the research that has been done, it is concluded that in the poem entitled "Rock Climbing" by Juniarso Ridwan, almost every line contains comparative figures, including personification, synesthesia, symbolic and simile figures.

Abstract

Low language skills are one of the obstacles in the communication process due to language errors. So this study aims to describe: (1) the types of errors contained in the paper, such as disclosure errors and transfer errors. (2) several factors that cause language errors. (3) As well as efforts to minimize errors that occur. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which contains explanations or descriptions written in detail, with a sample of 5 types of papers made by students. The results of the observations made were as follows: First, in the papers written by students, several types of language errors were still found, including: error in disclosure and transfer errors. Second, language errors that occur in writing papers are caused by several factors such as the influence of the learning process being / has been studied, not being careful when writing, a person's lack of knowledge of a language, environmental influences, or habitual factors. Third, language errors that occur in writing papers can be overcome with various efforts, among others: by providing sufficient knowledge of the types of language errors, being encouraged to learn more about the vocabulary of certain languages, and to increase the accuracy when carrying out writing activities.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the poem of the machine's chronicle of  Heri Isnaini using a semiotics approach. The focus of discussion of this article is the aspect of the mark that appears throughout the poem and is analysed so that it can represent the mark of the poem. The study is on the background because the author is interested in analyzing the poem, because the content in the poem tells of the wheel of life and destination that become the downstream of each human journey. Analysis in this study uses descriptive methods. A descriptive method is research that attempts to describe a symptom, an event occurring at the present time or an actual problem. Analyzing the data in the study: (1) selecting poetry and reading machine poems by Heri Isnaini's history, (2) analyzing the poem using a semiotics approach, (3) describing the meaning of the poem. Research shows that this poem refers to something textually and has textual meaning to the text for the reader to know, that is, to illustrate it as the time humans go through life. Human existence is inherent in its relation to space and time. Reality shows that the dimensions of space and time are the affirmation of human existence. Human identity is partly determined by its perception of time, that is, how humans perceive and treat time symbolically in life. This poem, therefore, is especially meaningful to read by both young and adults because it has meaningful words that resonate with real life.

Abstract

Social criticism contained in literary works indicates irregularities in social life. Literature that is present in the midst of society can be used as a social controller. One of the literary works capable of this function is a short story. In every literary work including short stories, like other arts, made not only for entertainment. Furthermore, every work of art tries to convey a message about the values that the creator considers correct. In order to understand social criticism and values, the reader must first analyze it in order to grasp the meaning conveyed by the author. Therefore, through this article researchers are interested in discussing the things described above. This article analyzes the social criticism and moral values contained in the short story "Perihal      Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor. The study uses the sociology of literature review as a research perspective. The resulting data is in the form of descriptions in the form of words because this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The purpose of this research is to (1) describe the social criticism contained in the short story entitled "Perihal Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor, (2) to describe the moral messages contained in the short story entitled "Perihal Orang Miskin yang Bahagia" by Agus Noor. Researchers found 13 findings of social criticism in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and law. While the moral values that were found were 5.

Abstract

Language is a communication tool that is conveyed orally or in writing. Language can be seen from speaking skills, for example the language used is good or bad. Indonesian is intended so that students can use good and correct language, can use polite and non-offensive language. The research conducted aims to determine the use of mother tongue in speaking skills in Indonesian language learning in the classroom. The method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection in the form of observation, and recording tools, the observation function is to determine the speaking skills of students using their mother tongue in Indonesian language learning, while the recording tool is to determine the use of mother tongue in learning. In Indonesian language learning, students use their mother tongue more (Sundanese), because students think their mother tongue is more understood and understood. The results of research in class X 99% of students use their mother tongue. The factors that influence the mother tongue in learning are school environmental factors, environmental factors where students live, and the lack of vocabulary that students have so that students tend to use their mother tongue compared to Indonesian. The efforts made by this research are so that students can acquire vocabulary and be able to use Indonesian when learning by applying literacy to students by reading non-fiction and fiction books.

Abstract

Literary writing is far more interesting when combined with intrinsic elements that can attract readers from all over world, be it children, youth, adults, and parents. The analysis of the novel is intended to describe an intrinsic element contained in Richard Bach’s attributed to “Si Camar Jonathan Livingston”. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The study suggests that Richard Bach’s “Si Camar Jonathan Livingston” novel has the theme of freedom to live, the characters in the novel are so interesting to read, using furrows, settings, times and settings. The viewpoint used was the third omniscient and there was a mandate always to try and unyielding to achieve what lay in the face of obstacles.
